Delete your Shiftnimbo account

You can ask us to delete your Shiftnimbo account and the personal data linked to it at any time. This applies to the Shiftnimbo app on iOS and Android and to the Shiftnimbo company platform.

How to request deletion

  1. Email privacy@shiftnimbo.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my Shiftnimbo account”.
  2. Tell us whether it’s a worker or a company account.
  3. We’ll reply to confirm the request came from you. Once confirmed, we close your account straight away and finish deleting your data within 30 days.
Email a deletion request

Before you delete: deleting your account can’t be undone. If you have upcoming shifts, cancel them first. Hours you’ve already worked are still paid by the company you worked for. Company owners: deleting a company account removes access for all of its team members.

What we delete

  • Your account and sign-in details, including your name, email address, phone number and password.
  • Your profile, skills, availability, travel preferences and home address.
  • Documents and credentials you uploaded, including your CV and cover letters.
  • Applications you made, and your notification settings.
  • Your messages, which are removed from your side and shown to others as from a deleted user.

What we keep, and for how long

Some records must be kept by law even after your account is deleted:

  • Timesheets and pay records for shifts you worked, including clock-in and clock-out times and locations, kept for as long as wage-and-hour and tax law requires (generally up to 7 years).
  • Employment-eligibility records (Form I-9) if you were hired through Shiftnimbo, kept for 3 years after hire or 1 year after employment ends, whichever is later.
  • Security and audit logs, kept for up to 1 year to prevent fraud and abuse.

Retained records are kept only for these purposes and deleted when the period ends. Data in backups is overwritten within a further 30 days.

Just want to remove some data?

You don’t have to delete your whole account. You can remove individual documents and edit your profile in the app, or email privacy@shiftnimbo.com to ask us to delete specific information. See our privacy policy for more on how we handle your data.
